ENRICHLOOPSCOMPARETHE COMPANIES API
EnrichLoops vs
The Companies API
The Companies API is the closest product on paper: domain in, company JSON out, public credits. They lean on a large company schema and a search API. We lean on freshness you can inspect, webhook delivery, and a roadmap that does not stop at the company.
What each one
is built for.
A capability-by-capability look. Where the answer is not a plain yes or no, we say what it actually takes.

01 / CHOOSE ENRICHLOOPS WHEN
- You want every record refreshed on a fixed 14-day cycle, with a timestamp you can check before you act on it.
- You want HubSpot, Customer.io, or Clay to fire a URL and receive a signed webhook.
- You want the person behind a signup email from the same vendor as the company record, and job-change watches next.
02 / CHOOSE THE COMPANIES API WHEN
- You are embedding a company search box or similar-company lookup in your own product.
- You want the widest company schema today and do not need people enrichment or job monitoring.
If you need 300 company attributes and a search engine over 50M records, they are built for that. If you need enrichment that lands in a CRM via webhook and covers the person behind a work email as well as the company, start here.

A FEW MORE DETAILS
Good questions. Straight answers.
What people ask before switching from The Companies API.
The difference is where freshness sits. Their standard lookup is one credit, and forcing a refresh costs ten more, so a guaranteed-current record is eleven credits. Against their published $95 for 50k and $295 for 250k plans that is roughly $0.021 and $0.013 per fresh company. EnrichLoops bundles the 14-day refresh into the credit, so a fresh company is $0.02 on Starter and $0.01 on Scale. Freshness is metered separately there and bundled here. Both of us charge nothing on a no match, and they also publish a free simplified profile.
They do. They publish 300+ attributes. We publish a smaller, typed profile and a freshness contract. If your product needs every alternate name and social URL, compare a sample payload before you choose.
