IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE
Separate the business profile from the supplier relationship
Enriched company name, description, primary industry, and headquarters describe a business. Contract terms, payment details, approved services, and internal owners describe your relationship with it. Keep these in separate fields so an enrichment update cannot overwrite information your team has verified.
Match the intended supplier entity
A supplier group may use the same website for several legal entities. Retain your supplier ID and legal entity record; use the domain to attach business context rather than to establish a contractual identity. Review conflicts between an enriched name and the name on your existing supplier record.
Make directory writeback controlled
Normalize domains, store task IDs, and apply results only after completion. Begin by filling empty descriptive fields and leave unavailable values untouched. If your directory uses categories that differ from the returned industry, maintain an explicit mapping. Enrichment supports directory context; it does not perform financial, security, or compliance checks.
Connect the workflow
Use the API overview for request and task handling, or the Loop guide for webhook delivery.

Is this a supplier due-diligence service?
This workflow adds descriptive company context to a directory. It does not verify financial condition, security controls, certifications, or legal compliance.
Can I use company names as the lookup input?
Company enrichment accepts a domain or LinkedIn company URL. Collect a known business identifier for each supplier before requesting a profile.
